Autism Care delivered by Experts

CBAT was founded in 2024 with a simple belief: exceptional care starts with a strong foundation. We opened our Houston center in 2026 and serve families across Cypress, Katy, Spring, and northwest Harris County.

Olivia Nwankwo, MBA MIS, MSBH — Director of Chivalry Behavioral and Autism Therapy

Olivia Nwankwo

Director

MBA, Management Information Systems MS, Behavioral Health

Olivia grew up with an autistic sibling. She was on the family side of this long before she was on the provider side — and that experience is the reason she built CBAT the way she did.

Before founding CBAT, Olivia spent her career in IT consulting and behavioral health systems. That combination is unusual, and it shows in how the clinic operates: data infrastructure that actually tracks what matters, intake processes that don’t waste families’ time, and operations designed to hold up as the practice grows. She built the back end of the clinic with the same care that clinical staff put into treatment plans.

She’s also a mother of three. It shapes the decisions she makes. Before asking whether a policy is efficient, she asks what it will feel like for the family receiving it.

Maria Nava, BCBA, LBA — Executive Clinical Director at Chivalry Behavioral and Autism Therapy

Maria Nava

Executive Clinical Director

BCBA — Board Certified Behavior Analyst LBA — Licensed Behavior Analyst, Texas

Maria has practiced ABA for twelve years. She became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst nearly a decade ago and has held clinical leadership roles across multiple ABA organizations before co-founding CBAT.

Five of those twelve years were spent working with adolescents and adults — people whose communication and behavioral needs had gone unaddressed for years. That caseload changed how she thinks about early intervention. She has seen, in the same career, what children build when support arrives early and what the work looks like when it arrives late. That shapes how direct she is with families when they call asking whether now is the right time to start.

At CBAT, Maria leads the full clinical model. She sets the clinical standards, supervises the BCBAs, reviews treatment plans, and is ultimately responsible for what quality care looks like here. She is not a figurehead — she is in the work.

Why CBAT exists

To give Houston families care that is genuinely kind and genuinely rigorous — where your child is met with patience, and their progress is measured from the early sessions.

Helping children build confidence, develop independence, and reach their fullest potential — one meaningful milestone at a time.

Why CBAT

A culture built on shared values.

We are founded by clinicians, run by clinicians — the people doing the work have always had real input into how things run.

Founded & Led by Clinicians

CBAT was founded by clinicians who grew tired of corporate ABA. Our leadership has been in the field, knows the work, and makes every decision with practitioners in mind.

Professional Growth

We invest in your development through ongoing supervision, CEU support, leadership pathways, and a mentorship culture that helps you grow as fast as you're willing to go.

Client-Focused Culture

Every protocol, schedule, and decision is made with the child and family at the center. When clinical needs and administrative convenience conflict, clinical needs always win.

Positive Environment

We practice what we teach. Our workplace is collaborative, affirming, and energizing — a place where therapists feel genuinely supported and celebrated for their work.

Open Positions

Where will you make your mark?

We're hiring skilled therapists and clinicians who hold our clinical standards as high as we do. Both positions are in the Greater Houston area.
